• 10 Day To Go
    15 Mar 2026

    Hey everyone,

Last week we went a bit lighter than planned only 10 hours in total as life caught up with us. Today’s a rest day and we’ll take Friday off too, just to recharge. No worries though we’re all back at it next week, riding together and building up properly for the big day next Thursday.

Thanks for following along and sticking with us!

  • Week 3 | 648km
    15 Feb 2026

Started the week Tuesday with 75 km but had a fall and damaged the hanger on my bike and scuffed the brake lever. Day after hit 228 km in 7 hours, simulating the big day on March 26. Wednesday the legs didn’t show up so 2 hours 10 minutes at 160 watts felt awful. Took Friday off to recover and reset, then Saturday delivered 200 km in 6 hours and fuelling went really well. Finished the week Sunday with 80 km, just rolling and enjoying it.

20 hours of riding for the week, 648 km, 3,760 m of climbing and 17,055 calories burned. Big week, some rough patches but also some really strong rides. This week we roll into recovery week to absorb the load, will drop to 14 hours and then build again.

  • Week 2 | 573km
    8 Feb 2026

Week 2 was a big one, both on and off the bike.

Across the week I logged 573 km, 17 hours 36 minutes and 3,598 m of elevation, continuing to build a strong base toward the long term goal of riding 380 km in a single day on March 26, 2026.

Saturday was easily the standout session, spending 6 hours and 5 minutes in the saddle. From a fuelling and pacing perspective, it couldn’t have gone better. Energy stayed steady the entire ride, nutrition landed well and there were no concerns at all, which is exactly what you want to feel as the long rides start to stretch out.

It also made Saturday a pretty special day for another reason, as I graduated from uni with my Bachelor of Secondary Education. A long ride in the morning followed by graduation later in the day was a pretty memorable way to cap off the week.

The rest of the week did its job, with mid week sessions keeping things controlled and aerobic, setting up the longer rides without overreaching. Mondays and Fridays are staying as recovery or rest days for now, which has been important in keeping everything feeling sustainable before that structure changes next week.

Overall, this week felt like a step forward not just in volume, but in confidence. Learning what works with fuelling, pacing and recovery while stacking consistent weeks is exactly the process I’m enjoying.

    On to Week 3.

What a start! Legs are feeling good, recovery hasn’t been perfect with everything else going on, but that’s fine it’s all part of it. Honestly, it’s been so much fun just getting on the bike again and feeling back in the groove.

Even better, we’ve already raised $891 in the first week absolutely unreal. Massive thanks to Cycliq, Pure Sports Nutrition, and Giant Ocean Keys for backing me and keeping the rides smooth.

I can’t wait to build up the hours, get stronger, and see how far we can push this over the next few weeks. Week 2, let’s go! 🚴‍♂️💨

It’s officially 8 weeks to go until the Yanchep to Yallingup ride and I’ve just started getting back into things. Training has been building steadily and I’ve ticked off 220 kilometres so far this week, which is a solid start. Taking a gradual approach is important, especially early on, but it’s been great to get the legs turning again and start settling back into the routine. I’m excited to keep building from here, stay consistent, and really get stuck into the preparation as the ride gets closer.
