My Story

This October, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! And hope for steps towards curing all cancer!

Because right now, cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.

I have lost good friends and families over the years to cancer. As a healthcare practitioner this is more apparent for children and adults. Last year we lost the wonderful Kate and at the moment my own grandmother is battling against gastro oesophageal cancer. So I hope that research put into children’s cancer research will let them play rather than fight cancer, and lead to steps towards curing adult cancers.
